In 2013 we launched a MENTORING SCHEME for early-stage artists.
This was a direct result of an Arts Council funded research project into models of 'scratch', work-in-progress and artist support that we undertook between 2011-13.
The research project was borne out of the work-in-progress events, SHOW US YER BITS! and SHOW US YER GUERRILLA BITS!, that we ran between 2008-2011 (resident and The Roundhouse and Young Vic respectively).
We published a series of articles online during our research:
Article 1 (15/10/11)
Article 2 (8/3/12)
Article 3 (8/5/12)
Article 4 (9/9/12)
Article 5 (31/3/13)
On 21 March 2013 we hosted a public talk at Artsadmin called Making Progress: Questioning the culture of 'scratch'.
On the panel were David Micklem (ex Artistic Director, BAC), Amy Letman (Associate Producer, West Yorkshire Playhouse) and the artist Mamoru Iriguchi.
You can read a transcript of that discussion here.
